Deactivation of Business Partners

We are using change request management, and the employee details and organizational details are created in CHARM by distributing it from our HR system.

My question is, is it possible to deactivate or delete the Business Partner in CHARM, once it is created?

Hey Bobby,

It is not possible to deactivate them, its possible to delete them...

Plz refer this thread on how to go about doing it..

Hi Bobby,

1 - Use t_code : BUPA_PRE_DA for mark BP to deletion.

2 - Use t_code BUPA_DEL for deletion marked user's

Hi all,

Sorry for the delay. But many thanks for the replies. I have added points for all the feedback.

One another question. It is clear that it is impossible to delete a business partner if it is used in documents. How do we stop this BP number being used furthur.

For eg : we have a BP type calles support team. We cease to use a particular support team from January 2008, what should we do to avoid this getting used ?

BUPA_DEL for deleting the bp.
