Hello, I am loading master data from 0MAT_UNIT_ATTR to 0MAT_UNIT infoobject. I am getting strange values in BW.For example:
DATASOURCE- 0MAT_UNIT_ATTR ( R/3)
Mat UOM
123 EA
123 P02
124 CSE
124 P04
125 PAL
125 P06
Infoobject- 0MAT_UNIT ( BW)
Mat UOM
123 EA
123 ******
124 CSE
124 ******
125 PAL
125 ******
Can somebody explain why this is happning?
Points will be assigned to correct answers.
Thanks/ Harry
Hi Prashant,
Thanks,
There were two issues in my post,
1. ****** values for UOM
Sorted out by tranferring the global setting for the ss.
Got the clue in link which you sent.
2. Second issue is that what is the source for Generated DSO?
a) If 0material then in 0material we do not have umrez and umren fields, offcourse, we can add as attributes and populate them from 0mat_unit_attr Data Source. Afterwards we can use 0material as a source to populate generated DSO.in this case why 0material why not 0mat_unit_attr DS itself??
b) if 0mat_unit_attr DS then, In this situation what is the use of 0mat_unit IO as we are loading data to generated DSO.
Lastly, in generated DSO we get fields 0UNIT as key and 0BASE_UOM as datapart, what will be source field for both of them from either DS ??
I have assigned the points and will assign for this questions as well.
Thanks/Harry

Hi ,
I am just loading the conversion factors from DS 0mat_unit_attr to IO 0mat_unit. Can you please explain what do we need to do with RSUOM in BI7.
I am getting the ****** as UOM values against some material.
My point is that loading conversion factor (DS 0mat_unit_attr to IO 0mat_unit) is different from RSUOM.
Can you please give explain in detail??
Thanks/Harry

Thanks

Hi
You have not configured Unit conversion in your BI 7.0 system
Unit conversion will ensure you will get some units for the *** missed values.
To do unit conversion,RSUOM transaction will be useful
