Hi Experts,

In our organization, we are planning to implement the Fiori apps for our client first time. As we are new to fiori, we are facing issue with our system architecture.

We are having the following systems:

1. ECC EHP6 with NW 7.0

2. BW 7.4 with NW 7.4

As per our analysis, the component SAP_GWFND does not fit into ECC EHP6 NW 7.0 system so we are including BW system which having NW 7.4 version to fit this component.

Below is our current system architecture with a required component is installed. 1) Will this architecture support to activate standard fiori apps? Or please suggest me if any other landscape possible with our system.

2) In which system we need to configure the Fiori Launchpad.

3) In which system activate the SAP UI5 Component?

4) Where to activate the oData services?

Thanks in advance

For older NW versions (like 7.0) since SAP_GWFND add-on is not available, you can install IW_FIND, GW_CORE, IW_BEP instead.

So I suggest not to use BW, just install the above 3 Add-on on your ECC system and perform all the tasks like launchpad, odata..etc on your ECC EHP 6 system, this approach is called as Embedded Approach.

But for long term, you will have to consider a separate server for Gateway, which is a Central hub approach, for this you will need a separate server/hardware.
