i am very novice abap learner. i got a bitter doubt may be very amature..

i installed sap gui and could connect remotely to server.

i get many information from the forums but manytimes the screens are different.. may be becoz of version difference.

wat is the difference between abap workbench and sap easy access menu? arent they both same.. ?

bcoz i see in some documents where abap workbench is mentioned .. i see very different screens when i follwed the same in sap easy access menu.

plz clarify me

thank you

How many questions are you trying to ask?

cant help you with the first one , check the below reply and reward points if you find it helpful,

SAP easy access is simply menu with transaction names... (you can select settings => display technical names to see tcodes)

and

ABAP workbench is related only to ABAP objects (reports, programs, function modules, function groups, etc., etc.)

so the difference is huge!

Cheers,

Siva.

are sir jee

r u asking two questions?

1. u r not able to get connected to remote server ?

ANS : there is two methods to get connected

i] u must know Appliction String and SAP Router String of remote server.

ii] u must have Remote Desktop installed on ur system then give IP address of ur server then u get connected.

2. Diff. b/w ABAP workbench and SAP eassy access menu?

ANS : ABAP workbench is also called Object navigator (T.code SE80 ) from here u can do every type of devlopment in ABAP for wgich u have to go through individual T. Codes .)

reward if help ful.
