Dear experts,

I have one scenario like this: I use s4hana cloud sdk to build up a java application. The app uses data retrieving from s4hana cloud and manipulates it, then generates oData.

I've googled and found some threads talking about apache olingo. But I don't know how to combine it with S4HANA Cloud SDK. Hopefully we could discuss and find a way to do it.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Tri,

thank you for you question!

The recommended way to consume data from an S/4HANA Cloud system is the OData Virtual Data Model. You can read more about it in this blog post.

"The app uses data retrieving from s4hana cloud and manipulates it, then generates oData."
So you want to consume data from you S/4HANA Cloud system and then let your application expose an OData service, is this correct?

Best regards

Dennis

Hi Dennis,

Thanks for your recommendation.

Yes, that's what i mean to say.

My scenario is that my Java application consumes data from s4hana cloud which includes my custom business objects and manipulate data then expose OData service and UI5 apps will use it.

I've been trying to integrate S/4HANA Cloud SDK with SAP Cloud Platform SDK for service development, but it doesn't work so well. Hopefully you have any examples.

Thanks in advance.

Tri
