MMPV- Urgent

Hi all,

Even though current period is closed and a new 01/2008 period is opened in MMPV without any error messages the current period in accounting view of material master is still showing 12/2007. It should show 01/2008.

MMPV log says: some materials are locked by physical inventory transactions.

Please help!

Hi,

I need one clarification regarding this period closing, how you maintain the period, as per the standard SAP we have to maintain the periods start from FY. Means April is 01 period, but now you are saying current period 12/2007 how it is possible.

Kindly guide me if I am wrong.

Hi

Thia is beacause for some materials still physical inventory process may not be yet completed.You can see the physical inventory status in the plant stock view of material master.In plant stock view check the indicator for inventory blocking.

If it balnk then no physical inventory exists for the material

If it is A the physical inventory is not yet completed for the material

If it is X then it is due to physical inventory goods movements are blocked for particular material.

Hi.......

Pls check the fiscal variant and may be during physical verification of stock tht material is blocked by using MI32 or MI33 tcodes.

Pls check it

i belive there r some active physical document for those materials try to check that and if they r then try to cancel them or set zero count

Periods are defined in SAP like this

Apr 1st period

May 2nd period

...

...

...

Nov 8th period

Dec 9th period

...

...

Mar 12th period

So If you want to close Nov

enter cocode

Current period for Nov is 8th, so enter 8th and current year 2007

Then go for execute

That is now you have opened Dec period.

How r u maintaing the period,fisical year strat from April ie 01

period so current period is 9.
