J2EE Engine Failed To Start : com.sap.security.core.ume.service not found

Hi Experts,

We have EP 7.0, on which we have had Windows ADS configuration. Now, that Windows server is being used

for some other purpose and we just want to restore the defaults in Config Tool of the EP i.e. we want to delete the Windows Server reference as the LDAP server given to earlier through .xml file.

I tried to restore default values but, don't work.

It's like Catch22 situation :

..The j2ee engine is not starting due to absence of the LDAP server

..And as the J2EE engine is not starting , I can't fix the licensing issue either... due to nonavailability of the

Visual Admin..!! Btw, if anyone know how to install the License from the OS Level ...?

So, first I need to get rid of this LDAP Configuration ..I refer to the note 718383 and as per that note I can change

to dataSourceConfiguration_abap.xml ..but, as we have JAVA only EP ...obviously, we don't have dataSourceConfiguration_abap.xml file. Hence, I opted for dataSourceConfiguration_database_only.xml, saved it and tried to upload to replace the existing LDAP Config file ..but, then I have err msg : Can not upload, the file already exist in configuration 'cluster_data/server/persistent/com.sap.Security.core.ume.service' and thus, I can't get rid of that Windows LDAP Config..!!!

So, any idea how to solve this ?

Any / All help is most welcome and would be rewarded with the suitable forum points.

Many Thanks in Advance,

- Ishan
