Top Menu is replaced by '???????' when using ALV grids in reports

Hi,

We are currently testing the set of patches that we installed in our development server. A user noticed that reports that use an ALV Grid in full screen, have their menu texts replaced by question marks.

One of our developers changed his language into german to see if the problem persisted, but it turns out that it only occurs when the language is set to english.

Any ideas??

That is because the text's are not maintained in the English. Try to maintain the texts in the english. then you can see the affect

Where can I maintain those texts?

Look for the text symbols which you are adding to the menu. Go to the ALV class handler and menu handler method. that method will be having the text ids. logon as the english. and maintain the text in english.

Well, Im a bit lost here. I'm not customizing the menu in any way, it's a standard report with an ALV dropped into it.
