Move material from QI to unrestricted.

Hi experts,

My scenerio: A FERT material with procurement type F is procured through movement type 301-Plant to plant transfer. The batch is moved to unrestricted stock in this process. UD has to be done for the batch. So this batch is moved from unrestricted to QI stock through MB1B mvt 322. During this period, the stock transfer inspection type 08 was not active. After the material is moved to QI, the Stock transfer Inspection type 08 is set to active status in the QM view of material master. Thus the batch is in QI stock now and no inspection lot was generated due to the stock transfer from unrestricted to QI.

Now the material has to be moved back from QI to unrestricted through the process of UD.

In the Inspection type 08, the settings are, post to inspection stock, insp. with mat. spec., insp. with task list, skips allowed, automatic UD, Automatic assignment, Insp. by characteristics,

To transfer the batch to unrestricted, first, i have deactivated the insp. type 08 and I have tried MB1B with mvt 350 - Transfer posting blocked stock to QI stock - reversal. But i get an error message "Change the inspection stock of material xxx in QM only"

Please advice me how can i move the material from QI to unrestricted through the process of UD.

first deactivate the Quality inspection in the material master transfer the stock from QI to Unrestricted and then activate the QM in material master and proceed

Hi Thyagarajan,

Since there is a quantity of 725 kgs lying in QI, the QM settings cannot be de activated in the material master. QM settings can be deactivated in material master only if there is no stock in the QI

I guess inspection lot must have created for the batch.

It should have created 08 type of inspection lot.

In inspection lot selection give date prior to activation of inspection type. There is possibility inspection lot is in CRTD status because unavailability of inspection plan.

Please check.
