Maintenance / Repair Expense for Fixed Asset

Hi SAP Expert,

In SAP ByDesign, I have acquired few Fixed Assets. There will be some Maintenance/Repair Expenses for those Assets. I want to track the expense for each and every asset but I dont want decrease the value of the asset by expense amount. The expense should be part of my profit and loss statement. At the same time, I want to know on which asset I have incurred how much expense. How can I achieve this in SAP ByDesign. Can I achieve this using Free Cost Object.
