Material substitution with sub line item

Hi Team

I am working on developing interface between CTRM application and SAP ERP.

My requirement is as follows,

1. Sale contract will be created in CTRM Sys and will be interfaced to SAP through SAP PI.

2. Above Contract will be created with main material and alternative material.

3. Main material will have qty and price and alternatives will not have.

My questions are,

1. Can i interface or create contract as main material will have qty and alternatives (can be put as sub line items) with qty and value?

2. Further can we create sales order for alternatives refferring to main material qty..
