SAP PowerDesigner 16.6 Instal

Hi,

I would like to share with you the process to install SAP PowerDesigner 16.6 and I would like to know why SAP PowerDesigner Portal doesn't work for me.

I want to install SySAM Server and SAP PowerDesigner Portal on the same server (even if it is not the best practice)
So:

  1. I installed SySAM 32Bits server on a server Machine Microsoft 2012 R2, because with SySAM 64bits the service doesn't work. (I disabled the IPv6 on my server).
  2. I created the repository DataBase (MSSQL 2016), from SAP PowerDesigner 16.6 RichClient
  3. SAP PowerDesigner Portal: I am stuck in the license page

I put "localhost" on the license server machine doesn't work

I put the servername on the license server machine doesn't work.

So I installed without the licence server machine, when I get access to the URL http://servername:3030/powerdesigner-web/resources/index.html
I should use login: ADMIN and password: ChangeMe for the first connection. But I got the error "username or password is invalide".
Need help to understand how this work please.

Regards

In this case ,license issue has nothing to do with portal login issue.

1). Check your license. If you have component

PD_SAP
PD_SHELLW

then you are entitled to create BPM model and make comment on portal. If not, you should select "I have no license server"

2) Login the repository on your Powerdesigner rich client using ADMIN account. Make sure the login is successful. Using the same account to login from portal. If you get error, go to Portal folder, in logs folder, check cmrserver.log

Hi,

1) In the license I have all this component:

PD_SHELL PD_PDM PD_XSM PD_LDM \ PD_RQM PD_IAM PD_FRM PD_RMG PD_GLM PD_PRJ PD_SAP PD_SHELLW.

It does not work for the license so I selected "I have no license server" to go forward, but I do not understand what is the impact of this.

2) I recreated the repository DB on SQL Server it works fine but still not on SQL Anywhere.

1) Make sure the license is floating type. Look at the first line of the license file. If you see key word FL, that is floating

license. Also look at the license server name in the file. It must be the license server's machine name.

If you only want a user to view a file in Powerdesigner web, you can ignore the license error.

2) You cannot create a SQL anywhere repository or you cannot login the repository from web?

What error did you get?
