SNP Heuristics Run, ( DC to Plants level)

Hi

Q 1 Scenario is regarding running heuristics in SNP.

I had maintained required master data like ( locations, products, resources, PPM, quota arrangement, transport lanes, SCE). Forecast is released from DP to SNP. For running heuristics, I have taken one DC and 2 Plants for the product (70% form plant 1 & 30% from Plant 2).

Heuristics run does not create the required Distribution demand (Planned) at DC or at Plant 1 and Plant 2. ?

My question is where to check for the successful run of heuristics in this scenario ?

In Product view , i had created a Forecast requirement with FA category for quantity of 100. Here Heuristics run was ok. ( from DC to Plants) based on quota arrangement.

Thanks in advance for the help

Surya

My best advice would be to run heuristics in the background for the DC only using SAPAPO/SNP01. The log that displays at the end should tell you if the stock transfers were created to pass the demand to the production plants. Then do the same at the production plants. In the logs generated hopefully you will be able to see where the issue is in your supply chain.

    Dear Surya,

    Couple of points :

    (a) Your forecast is on DC and you are sourcing the demand from production plant 1 and 2 .

    (b) The transaction elements if your transportation lane is in place linking the DC-Plant1 and DC-Plant2 are in place and products assigned in the TLane should give distribution receipt planned at the DC and distribution demand planned at the plant1 and plant2.

ℹ️ Check your TLane. (ii) Input a manual entry in any one product in the SNP Interactive Book directly and take a location heuristic.

    Hope this helps.
