Precalculation refers to loading details from a query into the cache. This could be done by Reporting Agent (older version) and Information Broadcasting (in BI 7.0). Precalculation would be more useful for canned , large reports (i.e reports whose data is not liekely to change for a while i.e. monthly reports )Also only those reports that you do not offer the user to put a selection criteria , are best candidates for precalculation

    Hope ths helps

    Regards

    Vin

You can use the BEx broadcaster to generate precalculated value sets, and then use it in a query to increase performance, also with the broadcaster you can send static images of a query, the downside is that this data is not the mos recent. Im pretty sure that there is no such thing as precalculated query,
