Can I avoid External Definitions while configuring SOAP adapter?

Hello friends

First of all thanks to everyone who have been answering to lots of my basic questions regarding SOAP adapter. Since I am doing this for the first time, I have lots of questions and doubts.

Another quick question that I have is, do I need External Definition at all.

Can I just do the simple creation of DATA TYPE, MESSAGE TYPE etc., that I did for File Adapter scenario and then use that with SOAP Adapter.

Your suggestions and feedback will be highly appreciated.

Thanks a lot

Ram

If you are planning to use SOAP sender adapter.. you need not have to worry about anything..!! If you are looking at receiver side.. you would need the WSDL for the web service.. and everything else.. is same as File adapter scenario...
