SAP Hana Web IDE Calculation View filter expressions: SELECT MAX("COLUMN") FROM

need some help with the syntax by using the filter expressions within calc views.

I try to use aggregate expressions, but I don't get any data. (But I know this Select statement works by SQL Console)

match("FALNR", 'SELECT MAX("FALNR") FROM "synNFAL" WHERE "PATNR" = 41715436')

And the target is to use the Import Parameter '$$IP_PATID$$'. Something like that:

Any ideas?

This does not work in the way you wanna do this, cause the query you passed to the match function cannot be interpreted and evaluated by the match function.

What is the issue, why that does not work with "standard" modeling mechanisms (first filter the data and then do an aggregation with the max aggregation function on the required column; of course FALNR has to be a numeric type to be able to apply the max aggregation function)?

Yes, was trying it but didn't get it to work . Maybe the issue was that the FALNR isn't a numeric type and I wasn't able to use the aggregation functions. Ok, will give it a more try and add a further more cal column and convert it to an INT or something like that.

May be one more confussion came up while I was switching the CV from dimension to aggregation and there is no aggregation column as I would expect (If I create a aggregation view than its there)
