How to connect the cash drawer

I am using an Epson TM-T88V printer. As far as I understand in order for CCO to recognize the cash drawer it has to be connected directly to the printer.

Can I connect the cash drawer to the printer using a modular cable?

    Hi George,

you can connect the cash drawer via a RJ11/RJ12 cable with the printer. You can find a configuration guide in SAP Partner Edge.

    https://partneredge.sap.com/en/library/assets/products/cust_mng/scc/implement/tr_ug_scc20fp01_EpsonTM88V_instal/assetfile/EKT_10_CCO_Hardware_Installation_Epson_TM-88V_DONE.pdf

    Please check.

    Hi Harald,

Thanks for the feedback. I followed the guidelines in the shared document from the start. The printer works well but the cash drawer is not recognized by the Epson utility tool. Any ideas?

    Hi Harald,

    1. No, it does not open with the Epson test utility. Refer to the attachment for the error message. The setup is exactly as described in the document you shared.

    2. I will check the printer manual on this point

    3. We are using more than one POS device and are having the same error in all of them.

    Hi George,

    1. Does the drawer open with the Epson test utility?

    2. Sometimes you have to configure something like up bit / down bit

    3. Are you sure that the printer / drawer are working fine and are not broken?

    Best regards, Harald
