SAP Sales orgs & C4C Organizational Structure

Hello experts,

We are in the process of setting up C4C. C4C will be linked to ECC. Our ECC Sales Orgs are very simple: 1100 Canada, 1500 Europe, 1600 Asia, 1700 US etc. We have not gone further to build Sales Offices, Groups etc in ECC. In C4C, we would like to build the Sales structure from VPs to Directors to Sales etc., which would be different from the simple ECC Sales Org. I also want to mention that we would like to use a combination of ORG Structure and Territory management.

So we have questions:

1. Does the ECC Sales Org need to be linked to C4C Org structure in a (ECC - C4C)landscape?

2. If we need to use the ECC Sales Org as a starting point for C4C Org structure, can we then, in C4C, add other Org units like Canada Eastern, Canada Western or even VP America (which would have to be above the ECC Sales Org for Canada, US, Latin America) to build the structure that best reflects our sales teams?

3. Our Sales Org in ECC very rarely change. But what would happen to the Org structure in C4C if they did?

4. Does anyone have documentation on this?

5. I would also be very interested in a document which explains the combination of Org structure and Territory management.

Dear Thomas,

Kindly go through below information,

1. Yes Org structures in ECC and C4C have to be linked, at least the minimum org units have to mapped, which would be used for further objects replications like BusinessPartners, Sales Documents etc.

2. Yes technically you can add additional org units in C4C, and since we only replicate Org Structure from ECC to C4C, these additional changes wouldn't flow to ECC. However if you use these org units in your documents, and if you intend to replicate such documents to ECC, then you would face issues.

3. If and when there are changes made in ECC Org structure, you can replicate only the delta update messages to C4C, which would replicate these changes to C4C.
