Is there any way to keep a row from being blocked in QP02?

Hi experts.

I would like to ask you a question about inspection plan(QP02).

In the screen named "Characteristic Overview", I can see the chain-shaped mark in the column index "Ref to charact.".

Once this chain is set, I can't change even the inspection characteristic itself, let alone values filled in other indexes like "upper limit" or "lower limit".

Since a row which has the chain mark gets grayed out and I can't change almost all the values, I need to unlock the blocked row first and then change the value I want to change.

It is so troublesome to unlock rows every time.

I would like to ask you if there is a way to keep a row from being blocked.

Any help is welcome.

Best regards.

Takeshi

Yes. When you create MIC for the first time, create them as "Copy Characteristics" and not "Reference Characteristics".

Hi Craig S.

Thank you for your reply.

It appears to be not possible to link the inspection characteristic with class characteristic in QS21 when I choose "Copy Characteristics".

Is my recognition right ?

Best regards.

You are correct.

If you need to reference a general characteristic then your only option is unlock the MIC in the inspection plan.

You can use the workbench (CWBQM) to unlock all the characteristics in a plan at one time. You can even load in multiple plans and unlock all the characteristics in all the plans at one time. You can also pick and select which ones you want to unlock and then unlock them all in mass.
