Using SAP BW as database

Hello friends,

In regards to SAP BW, I am doubtful in a situation.

I have been asked to migrate the entire data in SAP BW from a Oracle database. After this the Oracle database will be shut down and will be no more available.

In that case, for further development of reports or even storing data in ODS poses few risks according to me:

1. No security of data (administration) : anytime the data can be deleted of accessed by unauthorised person.

2. No backup activity, data loss will have no backup.

Are my fears right? Are there any more hassles or is it safe?

Please suggest.
