Hi,
when setting up a new connection in our SLT-System in transaction LTR, it's fails due to our password policy in our HANA DB, there we have the policy of password length 12.
(For Error message in SM21 see comment below)
When changing on HANA side the password length to 8 (standard value) everything goes fine.
As we couldn't deny our policy rules we need a solution how we can set up the required password length in our SLT system for creating new connections.
Is there a special customizing or anything else to set up password length for target systems? Are there any other workarounds to create connections in SLT w/o denying our policies?
TIA for your help.
Roland
Problem is fixed with SP14

But as I see the max length of password is limited with 255 charchters.
May be problem is somewhere else?

Hi Roland,
it's pretty strange. Actually every configuration creates a new db connection to HDB. I would like to recommend you try to create such connection offline -> means outside of SLT server. Please use the transaction DBCO to create temporary connection. The connection string you can look up in connection that SLT server created for you configuration (look for the connection with name <MT_ID>:R:C).
The connection you can test with report "ADBC_TEST_CONNECTION".
If the connection work correctly then you have to address to SAP support via standard way. If not you have to address to your Basis team for the help.
