Canu00B4t access the service registry from Visual composer CE7.1 SR3

Hi all,

I am experiencing problems with accessing the service registry from Visual composer.

As I begin a search in the service registry, a messege appears in the console that an error (unknown) was encountered while connecting to registry. I can though publish or browse the registry from the UI on http:/hostname:port/sr.

I have done the configurations mentioned in :

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/45/c1ea61a1194432e10000000a155369/frameset.htm

I am not sure about the UDDI Server configurations. Does anyone know what should stay for the following fields:

1. discovery URL host name

2. UDDI server ID

Any other ideas what the cause for this problem could be?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Vera Stoyanova

    Hi,

Please check if u have performed the following:

Log on to SAP NetWeaver Administrator (e.g. http://<myLocalServerHost>:<myLocalServerPort>/nwa) and go to

    SOA Management->Technical configuration->Destination Template Management

    Create new destination UDDI_DESTINATION

    Destination Type: WSDL

    Destination Name: UDDI_DESTINATION

    URL: http://sr.esworkplace.sap.com/uddi/wsdl/uddi_v3_service.wsdl

    System: Java

    Authentication : HTTP Authentication

    User ID/Password (Basic)

    User ID: sruser

    Password: eswork123

    Create new destination CLASSIFCATION_DESTINATION

    Destination Type: WSDL

    Destination Name: CLASSIFICATION_DESTINATION

    URL: http://sr.esworkplace.sap.com/ClassificationService/CS?wsdl

    System: Java

    Authentication: HTTP Authentication

    User ID/Password (Basic)

    User ID: sruser

    Password: eswork123

    Create new backend destination HU2

    Destination Type: Services Registry

    Destination Name: HU2

    System: ABAP

    System Name: HU2

    Hostname: iwdf1030

    Installation Number: 0120003411

    Client: 800

    Authentication: HTTP Authentication

    User ID/Password (Basic)

User ID: <your user in HU2>

    Password: <your password>

Log on to SAP NetWeaver Administrator (e.g. http://<myLocalServerHost>:<myLocalServerPort>/nwa) and maintain the correct values:

    SOA Management->Technical configuration->System Global Settings

    Configure the proxy settings

Set the user name and password of es workplace

    Potential sources of error are:

A simple hostname in the registry, but a fully qualified one in the Web Service destination (e.g. iwdf1030 vs. iwdf1030.sap.com).

Installation numbers are not identical in the registry and the Web Service destination.

      Hi Alexander,

I have tried this solution, but I have a problem:

      1. I dont have the possibility to create a Service Registry Destination (I have only the RFC and HTTP possibilities). I have tried in nwa->Configuration management->Infrastructure->Destinations

      2. The host name in the sr page is not given. I suppose i can write localhost.

Did you mean this destination (nwa->Configuration management->Infrastructure->Destinations)?

      Thanx in advance,

      Best regards,

      Vera
