Hi,

I have a HANA 2.0 SPS 1 system where I have created certain development objects like calculation views in the repository using HANA studio. Is there any way these design-time objects(which were created in the repository and not HDI) can be seen when I connect this system using WebIDE(not web development workbench).

Currently I can see only the catalog objects but cannot find any content/repository objects using WebIDE

I am using the below URL to access WebIDE for HANA-

https://<host>:53075

Thanks!!!

No, with the SAP Web IDE for SAP HANA you cannot access the design time artifacts stored in the HANA repository. You have to migrate to HDI if you wanna work with them in the Web IDE.

Thanks Florian for your response ! I was expecting something similar.

However can you share and specific note or document from SAP which mentions the same , it would help me take this forward with my team and client.

Thanks!

I do not know a note which mentions that explicitly. But reading the SAP HANA XS Advanced Migration Guide should make that clear for everyone.

Thanks Florian! Maybe you could help clarify one more thing - once we are on XSA does it mean all the development objects like calculation views etc. will be stored in GitHub outside of the client's HANA system? Wanted to understand their might be concern over security/confidentiality.

Yes, the artifacts are stored in a Git repository. You are not restricted to GitHub.
