Which restrictions in procurement based on price validity / availbility of the info record

Good morning from Germany!

Is there any overview how the avialibility and price conditions in the vendor info record are working together or do restrictions on processes. My questions goes in those directions:

Given that, availibility from is January 2018 to December 2018, price validity is the same

- Can I create a PO TODAY (before 2018) in the ERP?

- Can I create a PO in November 2018 with due date February 2019?

We have an internal business unit claiming, that they are not able to place a due date outside the availibility even when for their business the PO CREATION DATE is in the avialibility.

Is there any official help text about?

    Hi Nicolas,

You can only have the current period you are in, and the next period - the creation of the PO will always default to the current 'valid from' date, so, anything created now would carry over to the next period (2018) - this will throw reporting, etc off somewhat.

(Also bear in mind that POs, when created, are legal documents, so it would make sense to create 2018's in 2018)

For 2019 however, it is not advised to do so in this way (your current period is 2017, next one is 2018, 2019 does not exist yet in the system)

You cannot create multiple future periods - please review KBA 2499153.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you Sean, and I´m sorry for my late reply.
I didn´t know that the system don´t send me a message when I get a reply to my question.

Correct. They did not use the validity until a few months ago. Now they "have to" because of a APO connection for a gobal planning approach.

Now they´re running process does not fit into the SAP process.
