Hi Experts,

Though there are many questions regarding EDI mapping using BIC mapper , I still could not find answers to some basic questions or may be I am not searching well.

Could you please help me with the questions below :

I have to do a EDI to idoc scenario for which I would need to pick an EDI file using SFTP adapter and then apply BIC mapping entry in the SFTP adapter's module. For this entry I would create a sda file and place it at the backend of PI

1) From where would I get the xsd file for edi structure D01B? from internet or from BIC mapper tool? if tool where exactly? or from source team? I need to use this structure in mapping of D01B to ORDERS.ORDERS05 Idoc.

2) How to generate mapping of D01B file in BIC mapper?is there any pdf or any link where the tutorial or how to use guide is present on how to use this tool?

As of now I am stuck with the above two very basic questions .As further I would progress I will add questions 🙂

Thanks in advance.

Hi Dilip,

Firstly of All check if that version of EDI mapping is already existing in Seerbuger workbench or not. If not available you can ask the XSD by mailing to the Seeburger support team once you have the XSD then you can use BIC mapping designer tool to create new mapping.

Thanks for your reply Manoj,

Where does the workbench exist? backend of PI? Because just today I downloaded and installed BIC Mapping Designer. And its completely fresh so no files inside it.Also I doubt if D01B would be present in XI system since this is a latest version of Purchase order and since begining they are using D96A.

Thanks.

What i meant seeburger workbench in PI system . Navigate to : http(s)://host:port/seeburger then under system status you would have all the current BIC mappings that are deployed in your PI system . In case if you dont have the required verison of BIC mapping then you need to create a new one using designer tool for which you need to contact seeburger to get the desired version of xsd.

Hi Manoj , I checked the workbench and could not found any mapping related with D01b version of XSD , mapping is present only for D96a.

Also I found in the Catalog folder of the installation file the xsd for D01b structure. Now question is , if I have BIC designer and the xsd for D01b, how can I create mapping and deploy it at the backend of XI?

I do not have hands-on experience in this. Do we ask Seeburger for mapping too or we can generate it ourselves using the designer tool if we have xsd. Can you please help me with this part.

Thanks.

Dilip,

I am not sure if seeburger will help you in designing new BIC mapping. However yes if you have XSD and BIC mapping tool you should be able to create new BIC mapping by yourself.

You need to get the existing SCA/SDA file from your PI system which will be having existing BIC mapping. You can import this into BIC mapping tool then add your custom mapping to this and re-deploy the same back again.
