How to run jobs from db13 in a distributed environment

Hi, all.

We have installed BI7 on Solaris. One server only has Oracle while the other server has the CI. No SAP gateway is installed on the db server.

Is there anyway to run the db maintenance jobs on db13? Also, if I run the br* programs from the DB server, I cannot even see the log from db24. It gives me an error : "SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE failed for BRTOOLS"

Have you taken a look at the note 446172 ?

If you do not have the gateway, you can configure rsh

By the way, do you need a gateway on the db server if you use sapxpg? I tried to run a connection test from sm59 against the sapxpg_dbdest_<SID>, it failed.
