Hi G. Singh,

quoting SAP note 854870:

"The Eclipse Web Dynpro Theme Editor is an Eclipse plug-in which allows to create Web Dynpro themes to be used for Web Dynpro.

The plug-in officially is unsupported and should only be used when no Enterprise Portal (containing the official browser based Theme Editor) is available."

kind regards

Hello Stefanie,

Can you also tell me that if i have created a theme in Portal theme editor and i want to use this theme for a specific WD Application, how can i use it.

I have stored the theme at the same location where SAP Standared themes are stored.

I am using NW04s

Kind Regards,

Gursimran Singh.

Hi Gursimaran,

is your application running on Portal? then you should use the Portal Theme Editor. The WD Theme Editor is a (unsopported) tool that you can use, if you don't have a portal.

Hello Stefaine,

THanks for your reply, but are you sure about this.

I asked some other experts also, but according to them if we wnat to use a theme for WD Application then we have to use WD Theme editor and then store this theme in server to be used for this application.

According to them ,This is even true if the application is used through IView in Portal.

And portal theme editor is only for Portal Stuff.

Can you please consult the designers like Jochen Gutler or Timo Lackner and comment on this??

Thanks a lot !!

Kind Regards,

G. Singh.
