SQL queries not copied in QA refresh

Former Member

Hi,

I have performed QA refresh few months back using the Easy Homogeneous copy procedure. System performance is well enough. But from the past few weeks, users are reporting that they are not able to find any of their queries in say SQ01, SQVI etc.

I checked myself and found that the SQL queries, infosets, user groups etc. are not available in QA. However there are no. of queries, user groups and related infosets in the PRD system. I suspect if I have missed any steps while doing the QA refresh. If not how can I make QA & PRD identical in this regards.

If there is no solution, I will have to do the QA refresh activity once again but I think it wont help. Let me understand what went wrong.

Regards,

Sai R.

Hi Sai,

I have to expect, that this is a special problem, that seems to occur sometimes ;-((

I had it in a heterogenious systemcopy lately and I think, SAP is still working on it.

=> I would suggest, that you should open an OSS ticket.

You will not have caused this witha a wrong procedure ...

Volker,

Thanks for the help!

I have opened an OSS message and will tell you the results if SAP comes up with any solution on this. Anyways I am performing QA refresh again using SAVLIB/RSTLIB method.

You said that this problem occurred after Heterogeneous copy that is understandable. I hope that this should not be the case with the Homo Copy using either of the methods.

Hi Sai,

... already looking forward to your postings

... no, that is not understandable either !!!! There are repository objects (or at least the connections) missing in the target !!! This is not an option for both copies ...

Hello Sai,

Not sure if this is applicable or not but sometimes after an upgrade you have to go into SQ01 and change to the standard query area and they will magically all show up.

Thank you!

I have observed after the QA refresh this time, the SQL queries are copied in the QA refresh. But when i create a client and copy the PRD client the SQL queries are not copied.

It is already in standard area but no queries/user groups copied. I tried changing it to global area but it only shows the standard cross-client queries.

If I try to copy the queries from the particular local client's standard area to global area, but no luck.

Sai

Hello Andy

I did exactly this, and all my queries showed correctly.

Thank you
