    Hi Sathish,

Pls enter subject which isa relevant to your problem.

You can do local copy using SCCL, (First create client using SCC4)

and there are 2 ways to copy a client remotely.

    1) Remote Client Copy 2) Client Export

In both the cases you need to create client using SCC4.

    1) In remote client copy, you need to have RFC connection between source system and target system.

Go to SCC9 - Select Target client as well as copy profile.

select RFC, source system and source client. and start copy.

    2) For client export/import, you need to have both the system in the same transport landscape.

then in source system go to SCC8, select copy profile and target system (which will come in F4, as your 2 systems are in same landscape)

    then start export.

using export method you will get 3 request and their data file and cofile at the opertating system level.

now go to target system -> STMS->F5-> go to your systems import queue.

and import all three requests (if you will select one, all three will be imported simultaniously)

now in target system go to SCC7 for post-copy activities.

Hope this will behelpful to you.

    Regards,

    Payal

    Hi Sathish

I want to know your motivation to do client copy on the OS Level !!! Is there anytihing special achievemnet to execute on the OS Level ?

    LOCAL TRANSPORT BETWEEN CLEINT

You can use SCC1 for the local transport between the client in the same box.

    CLIENT COPY REMOTELY

SCC9 need RFC connection to establish between 2 system

    CLIENT COPY LOCAL

SCCL to copy the client from the same box.
