Hi guru,

The steps are as below,

1. Maintain the new client with transaction SCC4.

2. Activate kernel user SAP*:

a) Set the profile parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar to 0.

b) Restart the application server.

3. Log on to the new client with kernel user SAP* and password PASS.

4. Copy client 000 with transaction SCCL and profile SAP_CUST.

5. Check the log files with transaction SCC3.

6. Deactivate kernel user SAP*:

a) Reset login/no_automatic_user_sapstar to 1.

I hope this will be helpfull to you.

regards,

reddy

Hi Harish,

user with sap_all authorization dont's use sap* user)

1) remote client copy using scc9

2) you can also use client export/import method using scc8 and than scc7

3)if client size is large than is is better to perform system copy.

for your question,

remote client copy is doing through RFC ie SCC9

and client export and import through STMS

Remote client copy uses RFC and both source and target are in use during the copy. And it is 1 to 1 client copy, where in client export and import you can import client in many clients .

In client export and import only one system is in use (like source in client export and target during client import). And the client specific text are not copied, hence we need to do post processing after the client import.
