Can you append a logistics setup table without deleting

Hi experts...

Is it possible to append the structure of a setup table for a logistics extractor without deleting the contents of the setup table?

We're activating some new fields in VBAP and want to add them to our extractor but since the fields are currently empty, we don't want to bother re-initialising. Is this possible?

Thanks

Gareth

hi martin,

no it is not possible. to append a table means the structure of table will change. so u need to delete the data first.

OK...not the answer i was hoping for. I don't want to change the existing data in the table, i just want to add fields for future data. Re-filling the setup tables is a pain as it required downtime in R/3.

If anyone knows a solution (aside from coding the fields in the extractor logic) then do shout.

Thanks

G

There is no need to delete the setup table if you use an append structure, only if you change the actual extract structure in LBWE. Just add on an append in RSA6 and fill it in cmod and it should work without deleting the setups or affecting your deltas. Although it's advisable to run and empty the dela queues before doing this.
