LDAP User Authentication for a Portal in a Java Add-In environment.

We had a Portal installed on a Java Add-in to a CRM SAP ABAP Stack.

The User Authentication is made on CRM ABAP Stack and this can not be changed.

But we need to make an LDAP authentication.

Questions:

First:

Is feasible to connect the ABAP Stack, via LDAP Connector, to authenticate Users

on Java and ABAP stack at the same time?

Second:

Where I can find information to configure the LDAP connection?

I found a Lot of information on the SAP-LDAPConnector side, but didn't find anything raleted with the LDAP side, that is: user needed to connect to LDAP, Groups, roots, etc, etc. needed to connect6 SAP to LDAP?

My knowldge on the LDAP side is not wide enough!!

Best Regards and Thanks For the any help you can provide me...

Paco

Hi,

It is feasible to authenticate Users on Java and ABAP stack at the same time, but not via LDAP Connector.

Just modify the UME configuration. LDAP Connector can be used to synchronize user info between ABAP and LDAP. If you want, i can give you doc through mail .

best regards!

Can you kindly share this document (LDAP - SAP ABAP) connection with me?

Thanks in advance,
