Hi,

please let me know the config for the below scenario -

Invoice amt - 15000

TDS - 2% of 15000 = 300

Surcharge - 10% of TDS = 10% of 300 = 30

Ecess - 3% of TDS = 3% of 300 = 9

All these value should appear when executed through J1INCERT

Request to provide solution to the above issue

Points guaranteed.

Regards,

Sridevi

    Dear Madam,

    The calculation is 2% on 15000/- Rs.300

    Surcharges 10%on 2% Rs. 30

    CESS &HCESS 3% on (2%+10%) 9.90

    339.90

Since we maintain rounding rule in SAP it calculates RS. 340/- .

To get this break up in Certificate you need to maintain some programs at SM 30

    J_1iewt_surc1 for surcharge rate

    J_1iewt_ecess1 for e cess rates

    Thanks

    • Hi,

when u are defining withholding tax code basic amount has to calculated on gross amount and other like ecess and she has to calculate on the calculated tax amount. so while defining the ecess and she choose base amount as tax amount and choose inheriet base.

Maintain portary dependencies also. for ecess and she

Hope this is clear, if yes assign points

      regards,

      Sankar

      hi sridevi,

      Sridevi, Thank for your reply.

your absoluty right,we also want the same calculation.

But in case of surcharge it has to be calculated only if the Invoice amount is more than Rs 10,00,000 for individual & in the TDS Certification it has to show in surcharge colum only.

now they are two ways of calculating WHT tax

      1) Maintaining only one WHT Tax code for all TDS,Sur & Cess.

By this way, i can see the breakup of all the Three in certificated. But The Problem is it is calculating Surcharge on the Invoice amount less than Rs 10,00,000

      2) Maintaining Three Different WHT Tax Code for TDS,Sur & Cess,by this my problem of surcharge is solved by mean of withholding formula,But the problem here is it is not showning the breakup of TDS,Sur & Cess in the certificate.

I have applied all the OSS Notes required for WHT.

This up most Urgently has to be resolved as we are going live this 1 april & it testing is still pending.

    Hi

Basic is 2%(give this percentage in SPRO-extended withholding tax-calculation-withholding tax code-here in calculation with/tax rate give 2%)

Surcharge is 0.2%(10% on 2)(give this percentage in SPRO-extended withholding tax-calculation-withholding tax code-here in calculation with/tax rate give 0.2%)

Ecess is 0.4%(give this percentage in SPRO-extended withholding tax-calculation-withholding tax code-here in calculation with/tax rate give 0.4%)

SHECESS is 0.022%(give this percentage in SPRO-extended withholding tax-calculation-withholding tax code-here in calculation with/tax rate give 0.022%)

Now try and see. hope it is useful. if you are satisfied please award points.

    Thanks & Regards,
