Moving infoobjects

Hi,

I have some of the Z infoobjects that got created in Unassigned nodes .Now I want to move these infoobjects to my Infoarea infoobject catlog.How can this be done

hi maya,

if u r using bw 3.5 then

goto edit of the infoobject catalog choose required infoobjects from right panel to left and activate infoobject catalog.

Hi Narendra,

I am in 7.0

when I go for edit infoobject screen and click on IO catlog Ic an see my infoaobjects catlog

I have my infoobjects in unassigend nodes now I wan to move these infobjects to my infoobject catlog

You cannot drag and drop Infoobjects even on 7.0 , it works for Infoproviders though.

Right Click - Change Mode of IO Catalogue - From left - Click on Infoobject Catalogue - Search for Unassigned/Not Assigned - 0CHANOTASSIGNED - Open the catalogue - Drag and Drop the required.

Click in All Infoobject Catalogues in the session .

Hi Maya,

You can simply drag and drop into your Infoarea.Or goto Infoarea->Object Overview->Insert Charecterstics.

Drag & Dropis not allowed for me (not authorised) , I want to move it to my infoobject catlog

Eg:-

I have the infoarea

PKI

and I have the Infoobject catlog PKI_Char

now i want to move the infoobject from unassigned nodes to PKI_char

Hi,

Go to that infoobject catalog - in righthandside you will find template -in this template you will find all your infoobject - find your infoobject - select the infoobject and push it from right to left..

Hi Maya,

just go to change mode of the Info object catalog in the right side u will get the all the objects which are active and just selectr ur object and drag it to the left panel.

Hi,

If you are in BI7.0 you can drag them to your info area directly.
