Hi Friends,
I was asked a question like this in an interview.
While doing the File to Idoc scenario, if we use the Business Services instead of Business Systems, where will we assign the Logical Systems and what is the use of the logical systems here.
Please help me out.
Awaiting ur kind & great replies.
many thnx in advance.
Regards.......
Kumar
business service is assigned in ID,no entry is made for business service in SLD hence no question of assigning a business system
Thanx
Aamir

hi,
logical system is ALE name which is already defined in R/3 backend.
So if you want to know about ALE then can go for TBIT 40 link
here is that

The logical name mentioned in Business service--> Adapter specific identifiers, with the same name create inbound partner profile in receiver R/3 system.

Kumar,
Business Services for Cross Company Processes
In our SLD Business Landscape, entries are created for those Business Services that relate to external servers or servers in the DMZ
The majority of our Business Services are abstract, eg an SMTP service or a File service so we do not define these in the SLD
Business Systems for Inter Company Processes
In our SLD Business Landscape, entries are created for those Business Systems that relate to internal servers

Mike
