Is it possible to duplicate an existing taxonomy and get all query rules to be copied with it?
This is for me to try something new in a taxonomy structure without messing with the existing taxonomy. I need a quick clone.
Henning
Hi Henning....
Yes you can copy the existing Taxonomy Structure; However there are certain limitations involved in this.
Create a different Taxonomy(under the same index) and copy the existing structure under this new taxonomy.
Plz go through the following documentation to give you a better idea on this.

hope this helps...

I did create new taxonomy under same index, and then I copied the structure beneath the old taxonomy to the new. All folders are correctly copied, but sadly the queries are not.
I am neither able to copy the query rules from one folder in structure A to another in structure B (these have to be recreated in new structure), although the two taxonomies are in the same index. This indicates that a copying of query rules between taxonomies don't work, I guess??

Hi Hennig....
I have done what you require and got the results too..
Go to Content Management >> Classification >> Taxonomies >> IndexName >> TaxonomyName(source) >> Select the Catogory
Copy it into the required hierarchy in the other Taxonomy.
now go to the Taxonomy Query Builder iView and check whether you have got the Queries on these copied catogories or not.
I got the queries copied as well.......
Are both the Taxonomies under same INDEX ??
Are both of them Query - Based taxonomies ??
What is the NW Stack and which SP are you working on??

Sudheer
