Hi Gurus,
Can any one please explain why 0LOGSYS (Source System) object is used during extraction.
please explain me in detail wht is the use and for what it is used and will that be used for reporting.
Appreciate with points assigned
Shiva
this wil be very useful if you load data from different source systems to identify from which source system the data is loaded.
for ex: you have an r/3 and file system as your source systems..
if you have 0logsys, u will know if the data is extracted from r/3 or manually loaded through file

Hi Shivu Kumar,
This is related Compounding.
Suppose u r extracting data for Plant from different source systems.
If for example Coke Plant is P1 and Pepsi Plant is P2 in R/3
same may vary from other source systems ex:- Coke P2, Pepsi- P1
if u extract data related to plants from these source systems u may get confused,
so if u compound ur characteristic with 0logsys, the values will be different.
for this u need to maintain source system names in bw.
