error in phase 42 during installation of NW2004s SR1

I am getting this 2 errors in 42nd phase of installation of NW2004s SR1 in my system. Pl. suggest the solution for this.

Please check the database server status

The log clearly mention: The connection parameters are wrong or the database server is shutdown.

HI amol,

Log as sidadm. no, for oracle, specially for sqlplus '/as sysdba' only logon with orasid.

>>type sqlplus " / as sysdba "

??i will promt SQL> type here startup; enter u r database is startted

log says that database is shutdown.

log on user as SIDadm go commannd promt

type sqlplus " / as sysdba "
