Hi Business Connector experts,

I'm maintaining a Business Connector 4.8.

Usually, partners push/get data to Business Connector using URLs like :

http://<mybusinessconnector>:5555/invoke/xxxxx

But port 5555 is also used for the administration console.

So I would change Business Connector configuration for partners to use a port like 443 instead of 5555, which I would keep dedicated to administration console

http://<mybusinessconnector>:443/invoke/xxxxx => for partners

http://<mybusinessconnector>:5555 => for admin console

I've already added the port 443 in the port list, but when testing the URL

Do you know if it's possible ? How to configure it ?

Thanks experts !

This is definitely possible. How to go about it is described in the BC Administration Guide (see the section on Configuring the Server -> Configuring Ports, and Managing Server Security, among others) and also the BC Security Best Practices guide.

Bear in mind that if you want to use port 443, then most services are going to assume that you're using protocol https (which seems like a good idea). To do this, you'll probably need to ensure you've configured certificates, so you'll also need the Certificate Toolkit guide.

Cheers,
Matt
