UPGRADATION-PREPARE PHASE--> Preprocessing module

Hi all,

We are upgrading from BW 3.5 to BI 7.0,we are in PREPARE and in Preprocessing module.My question is do we need to go thru this or is it for only upgradations to netweaver 2004 . Can anyone through some light on this,we have no idea on this..........thx all.
