How to change employee names after creation in ByDesign?

Dear community members,

I have a quick question. Is there a way to update the name of an employee after creation in SAP Business ByDesign?

I know change of the name is possible when Employee view is available under Business Partner Data work center, which is possible when the tenant is not using personnel administration work center.

However, our customers are using personnel administration work center and in that work center, I cannot update the name of an employee, only contact information, bank data, etc.

I believe change of the name is fairly common due to marriage, divorce, any personal matter, or erroneous data entry.

Please help me with this.

Hi Yamato,

you can change the employee name in work center "Personnel Administration" > view "Employees":

Open the employee with button "Edit", switch to tab "Personal Data" and change the name:

Thank you for answering my question.

Actually my system does not show biographical data of employees and it crushes when I try to add biographical data, so I will report an incident about this.
