CRM 5.0 - IC - BOL Change/Display Mode

Hi Gurus

Is there any documentation or best practice guides for the BOL Change/Display Mode option as set in the Define Runtime Framework Profile option (Transaction CRMC_IC_RTFRAMEWORK).

Currently we have the value checked, which means:

We search on Transactions in the Inbox, when we select a Transaction it is visible in Display Mode only, however when we try to Change a Transaction we get the following info error "Unable to edit".

Alternatively from the inbox, highlight a transaction and select Edit we get the following info error "Unable to process selected inbox item"

If we uncheck the Change/Display mode checkbox.

We search on Transactions in the Inbox, when we select a Transaction it is visible in Change mode and changes are possible with out any error or info messages.

Alternatively from the inbox, highlight a transaction and select Edit we get the following info error "Unable to process selected inbox item". Same as when the box is checked.

Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.
