OData Service for tables with LCHAR data elements?

Is it possible to export data from tables using LCHAR data elements holding fields (e.g. EDID4) using an OData Service? What is the best option? Any limitations?

Please provide details and examples if possible. Thank you!

Never had a use case of such nature with LCHR fields....Did you try with normal string fields in oData i.e Edm.String for value and for length normal Edm.Int field
