Hi,

regards
Krzysztof Sala
as much as i know it is not possible.
iam using mssql 2000 and 2005 on one machine. but with the same business one version.
i made a sbo-common backup from 2000 and restored it to 2005.
since them i can change in the business one between the mssql servers.
sometimes very useful when you have still some customers that use mssql2000
(and they please you to send them a mssql2000 db backup).

We are running 2004C and 2007A on 2 MS SQL 2000 instanses on the same server. The only problem is to separate 2004 and 2007 licence servers.
In regards to the clients machines: 2007C Client is installed properly, 2004C Client is just copied as a directory to another folder and working proper
PS: by-design issue: addons will work only for the client's sversion which is properly installed
Just give a try

There is a way to run the add-on when having two B1 versions, the procedure is documented in note 954537 (for version 2004 and 2005).
Here the procedure :
1. Go to windows explorer: search -> all files and folders
2. On field 'All or part of the file name' type SAPbouiCOM.exe
3. On field 'look in' select Local (c:) drive
4. Right click on each file SAPbouiCOM.exe and click-> Unregister Com
Server (check note 808354 for more info)
5. Right click on the B1 client version you wish to run the Add-On's
and click register COM Server
When swapping between add-ons you need to repeat the process of
searching for all the SAPbouiCOM.exe on our c: drive and unregister
them all. Afterwards you must right click on the client you will
access and click on Register COM Server.
I will try it with 2005 and 2007 in same machine but different instances and update with results in next reply.

Juan
Hello Krysztof,
Maybe its possible but there's always a change that one or both of your SBO's is getting strange behavior. I think the best way is to use Microsoft virtual pc of server. This is free software (if I am right) from Microsoft, you need only a license for your second Operating System.

Krzysztof Sala,
The only way to have different versions of SAP Business One running on the same physical machine is if you use VMWare or Virtual PC.
