I run

1 databaseserver with windows 2003, 24GB RAM

1 applikationserver with windows 2003,16 GB RAM, only dialog processes

2 applikationservers with windows 2003 ,6 GB RAM, only dialog processes

1 batchserver with batchprocesses and some dialogprocesses

all the servers are 64-bit.

Can someone help me?

hello,

i've another question : how do you do for dedicating an application server just to handle dialog process and no batch process?

hello,

hm i just set the parameters in TR RZ10 instance profile of the batchserver

disp/wp_no_dia

rdisp/wp_no_btc

for the other applicationseerver i set only the parameter

disp/wp_no_dia

On my databaseserver i have only one batchprocess with class A for transports.

So i have only one server for batch and the other servers are not stressed with batch jobs.

I functioned very well.

best regards

Hey,

I think I manged to read the ST03 information,

if I'm correct, you had about 70M dialog transaction, in each application server,

the average response time is about 1 second.

The batch wp, have response time of about 2 seconds.

This looks like normal performance,

We need more information:

1. Can you send the information of st03 before the upgrade?

2. Use transaction stad,

and send us some example of bad user response times...

hello Osman,

What kind of performance problems you are experiencing? Are all the parameters confifured correctly? have you implemented zero memory management parameters on the windoes boxes?

Please provide some more information in terms of database, release and etc.

Hello Satyajit,

thank you for answersing. Yes i tried to use the zero management.

Performance problems in terms of e.g. that the GUI times are very long and if you start e.g. Project Info System ( TR CN47N )it takes a long time to get the applicationscreen.

And in other TR if you make some selections on the selectionsscreen it takes a long time too so backgroundjobs are running longer as they should do.

Most swaps i avoid with this settings.

I have SQL 2005 and ECC 6. The dimensions of our database is about 300 GB.

We run 64-bit Windows 2003 R2, 64-bit SQL and 64-bit ECC6.

I set following parameters on the applikationserver with 16 GB RAM:

Can you send me the response times from St03> expert analysis> wokload overview.

Hello Osman,

Thanks for providing the information. However its very difficult to understand it!

Did you hreceive any SAP EarlyWatch service for this system? This is a part of AMC and free service. Or Open a customer message in component SV-BO so that once of the SAP can have a look into system in much details and help you to negete the performance issues.

Hope this helps,
