Hi,
Have checked the log files and also the dev* files in work directory.
Please also check any errors found in the work directory. some times due the saposcol problem , sysem will not release the complete memory.
As you are on windows, please stop saposcol service and then, replace your new kerenals .
Try to restart the sap.
Hope this will help you.

Hi All,
Thank you Eric for your prompt reply.
I have already tried your option updating the kernel files in the directory X:\USR\SAP\[sid]\sys\EXE\nuc and restarted the SAP instance. But my doubt here is, the subdirecory of nuc is NTi386 which was updated.Did i go wrong?
We have windows 32 bit environment.
Thanks,
Naresh

Hi,
Before coping the kernel, you should bring down SAP, then stop SAPOSCOL, then stop the sapstartsrv. and then clean all the semaphores owned sidadm. here is the steps
stopsap all
stopsap sapstartsrv DVEBMGS<abap instance no>
stopsap sapstartsrv SCS<java instance no> ( If java stack available)
saposcol -k
cleanipc <abap instance no> remove
cleanipc <java instance no> remove
slibclean ---> execute this command as root.
Then after executing all the commands then copy the kernel to run directory.

where have you updated your SAP kernel?
do you have this directory? X:\USR\SAP\[sid]\sys\EXE\<b>nuc</b>
if so, update your kernel in this directory and restart your SAP instance.
the startup profile caqlls a program called SAPCPE which copies the kernel from this directory to X:\USR\SAP\[sid]\sys\EXE\run
