I am getting an error" Could not determine the year for TDS certificate number range"

Message no. 8I017

What could be the probableble reason for the same.

Hi,

Maintain Number Ranges for withholding tax certificate for your required year -

path for that.

Financial Accounting>financial accounting globol settings>withholding tax>extended withholding tax>posting>india> withholding tax certificates for vendor and customer>maintain number ranges.

if u update certificate nuber range for required year as same nuber range as last year, u will get the certificate.

Please note that each year you have to maintain certificate number range

The reason for the error may be due to Not checking the " No Certificate Numbering" in the Withholding tax type configuration in Control data.
