I have PowerDesigner 16.6. on a Windows 7 box. I cannot get the Toolbox to show, although the Windows list shows it and the View menu shows it is switched on. I searched the internet and found a suggestion that I reinstall Powerdesigner. I did that and lo, the Toolbox appeared. But then I went to do something else and when I came back to PowerDesigner, the Toolbox was gone. I closed Powerdesigner and reopened it and still no Toolbox.
What is going on here? Suely I don't have to reinstall PowerDesigner each time I use it.
The toolbox can disappear for a few reasons.
1. If you execute an action that gives a "Results List" tab, the Toolbox disappears. Close tab or select a Diagram tab and Toolbox reappears.
2. George McGeachie has reported making the Toolbox so small that it seemed to disappear, but when he put the cursor over to the RHS he was able to drag is open wider again. When doing this you might also want to fool around with the Maximize/unmaximize button on PD upper RH corner to make sure ALL of the PD window is visble on your screen. I've had poorly calibrated screens drive me to distraction with disappearing window edges before I figured that out.
