Hi All,

the delta extraction has run 3 times today all bringing through the same amount of data each time. We are not receiving any errors for this at the moment, but it doesn’t seem right.

Thats expected behavior of a FI extractor. Suppose you run ur delta now - it extract gets 15 record. Now somebody posts 10 more transactions. And you run the delta after that - this extract would get 25 (previous 15 + 10 new posting). And then somebody again posts 5 more - the extract would get - 30 records (25105). And after that no body posts anything and u still run ur delta, it would get 30 again.

Hi Voodi,

Uptil when this behaviour would continue?

Like if I extract today i have 20000 records, after that somebody posted 10000 records, then would I get 30000 records tomorrow?

I checked 0FI_AA_11, this is bringing different no of records - soemtimes less and sometimes more as normal delta would do ...

Can you pease explain a little bit more your reply to psoted question?

Thanks in advance

Extractor Features from HELP

The extractor reads from the depreciation posting run table, ANLP. During delta extraction, only those entries are selected that belong to posting runs started since the last delta extraction. In addition to actually posted depreciation, depreciation can also be simulated for future periods that were not yet posted. This simulation is dependent on the BWFIAASIM parameter (refer to SAP Note 614804). The simulation indicator (SIM) appears for entries that were simulated.

Check the parameter and also the prescribed note.

By default all the FI extractors have safety interval of 24hrs. So this results only when you run multiple delta runs in one single day.

Please go thru the link above, Chetan did a good job of explaining the FI delta mechanism, though it says AR and AP, it is applied across all the FI extractors. Sorry for the linky - feel too lazy to type
