DBIF_RTAB_SQL_ERROR /

We are getting these dumps in ST22:

DBIF_RTAB_SQL_ERROR

ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE

DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR

ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE"

I searched SAP notes on these terms, and found nothing:

DBIF_RTAB_SQL_ERROR

DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR

ORA-03114

We are using HPIA64, Oracle 9.2.0.6, kernel 640

Hello William,

The error ora-3114 only indicates that there is no connection to the database.

I always see this error after another one.

For that reason, i do not think that, with only this information, any help can be provided.

Mi recommendation is that you take a look at the system log ( or developer traces ) to see what happens before this error.

Of course, I'm assuming that you are not running an offline backup at the same time.

Hi,

Can you please confirm whether, you have database on different server and dialog instances separtely, if this is the case, it might be due to network issues also.

With regards

perhaps an offline ackup is running while these errors occur.

Somethimes the backup is running and other times the backup is not running when we get the error.

when the backup is running, then, this is completely normal.

also check if an offline DBV might be running.

anyways, the short dump information you gave is too minimal and too generic. if you want more help supply more info.
